Sønderborg, Denmark – In a groundbreaking move towards sustainable transportation, Sano Energy has completed the “Better Energy Charge” electric vehicle (EV) fast charging station in Sønderborg, transforming a traditional gas station into an innovative charging park. Completed in 2023, the new station is designed to provide an advanced charging experience while enhancing the overall mobility experience for electric vehicle owners.
The station boasts cutting-edge infrastructure, featuring 4 sets of 360kW *1-to-6 terminals and 8 sets of 120kW single gun DC chargers, making it one of the most powerful and efficient EV charging stations in the region. The facility is equipped with essential amenities including a gate, rest room, canopy, toilet, and lighting, ensuring a comfortable environment for drivers and passengers alike.
One of the key highlights of the “Better Energy Charge” station is its emphasis on creating a relaxing and eco-friendly experience for users. “With Better Energy Charge, we had the opportunity to rethink the mobility experience by incorporating best practices from the energy, ecology, and building sectors,” said the local project lead. “Electric cars take some time to charge, so it was crucial to provide not only high-quality charging facilities but also recreational areas in natural surroundings where drivers and passengers can rest and relax.”
