Project Overview
Sanopower recently delivered a 1.72MWh containerized liquid-cooled ground-mounted energy storage system for a solar PV plant in Nigeria, a region abundant in solar resources. Integrated with hybrid on-grid/off-grid switching systems and intelligent energy management platforms, this storage solution is deployed to complement the existing solar power infrastructure, unlocking the full potential of local solar generation.
This project marks another milestone of Sanopower’s large-scale ground storage deployment across Nigeria. By equipping the solar farm with reliable energy storage, the facility drastically cuts reliance on fossil-fueled emergency backup power, slashes fuel consumption, and optimizes overall power generation efficiency for local communities.
Sanopower’s megawatt-scale energy storage solutions have been widely installed in Nigeria and numerous other African countries, engineered to fit the continent’s unique climate and power demand conditions.

Core Product Advantages
Integrated Pre-assembled Module Design
Factory pre-integrated modules save land occupation and drastically shorten on-site installation cycles, accelerating project commissioning.
High Energy Density & Long Service Life
Supports 6,000–8,000 charge-discharge cycles, delivering outstanding long-term operational value.
Dual Cooling Options (Air & Liquid Cooling)
Uniform temperature control across batteries and cabinet interiors; ultra-wide operating temperature range from -20°C to 60°C, adapting to Africa’s extreme weather.
Industry-Leading Conversion Efficiency
AC-DC-AC conversion efficiency hits up to 95%, while DC-DC efficiency reaches 96%, ranking among the top tier of the energy storage industry.

Liquid-Cooled Container System Highlights
The adopted liquid-cooled energy storage system adopts a standard 20-foot high cube container design, featuring high cooling efficiency, multi-layer safety, cost competitiveness and intelligent O&M:
Multiple liquid cooling control modes reduce auxiliary power consumption by 20% and extend the whole system’s service life by at least 10%.
Cluster-level management technology raises system RTE by over 1%, improves cell consistency within clusters and maximizes usable discharge capacity.
Five-level protection from cell to full system prevents thermal runaway; built-in monitoring alerts, fire suppression and explosion-proof structures create comprehensive multi-layer safety barriers.
Digitalized energy management & intelligent operation platform enables real-time equipment status tracking and precise fault diagnosis, realizing fully smart energy storage operation.
