
Residential Solar Storage Inverter
Introduction:
The residential solar storage inverter is a key part in home solar energy systems that integrates both solar power conversion and battery management into one device. Its main role is to convert the direct current (DC) electricity produced by solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity that can be used by household appliances.
Besides converting energy, the inverter manages the charging and discharging of a battery system. During the daytime, the inverter supplies electricity generated from the solar panels to the home, charges the battery with excess energy, and can send any surplus to the electrical grid if the system is grid-tied.
During night or periods of low sunlight, the inverter draws stored energy from the battery to power the home. If the battery is empty, the inverter can automatically switch the power supply to the electrical grid. In systems designed for backup power, the inverter can also isolate the home from the grid during an outage, allowing essential appliances to continue running using solar and battery power.
