Sano Energy deployed a 10kW/15kWh all-in-one residential energy storage system in Jamaica. Equipped with intelligent energy management capabilities, the system delivers autonomous, reliable, and sustainable power supply solutions for household users. It effectively reduces residential electricity expenses through optimized energy utilization. Meanwhile, it provides critical emergency backup power during grid instability or power outages, solving local household power consumption pain points and improving the stability and economy of residential energy use.

2. Project Details & Application Scenarios

The all-in-one residential energy storage system supports multiple intelligent operation modes, adapting to diverse local household power consumption needs and maximizing the utilization efficiency of photovoltaic power resources. The core application scenarios are as follows:

  • Self-consumption & Surplus Power Feed-in: The system prioritizes consuming on-site generated photovoltaic power for household use. Excess electricity can be automatically fed back to the public grid, fully tapping the value of photovoltaic power generation and reducing energy waste.

  • Automatic On/Off-Grid Switching: It supports seamless and uninterrupted switching between grid-tied and off-grid operation modes. The system can intelligently identify grid operation status to ensure zero power interruption for household loads and deliver a consistent power supply experience.

  • Emergency Backup Power Supply: In case of sudden grid power failures or blackouts, the system automatically switches to off-grid backup mode to maintain continuous power supply for key household electrical equipment, guaranteeing basic residential power demand and living stability.

  • Time-of-Use Energy Management: Adopting peak shaving and valley filling strategies, the system stores electricity during off-peak tariff periods and releases power during peak tariff periods. It effectively optimizes household power consumption structures and significantly reduces overall electricity costs.

3. System Configuration Parameters

The project adopts a high-performance integrated energy storage system with optimized parameter matching, which balances power supply capacity, energy storage duration and operational efficiency. The core configuration is detailed below:

  • Rated Inverter Power: 10kW (Maximum peak power: 11kW)

  • Energy Storage Battery Capacity: 15.36kWh

  • Maximum PV Input Power: 6400W


4. Core Equipment Introduction

The customized hybrid inverter supports dual 110V/230V output voltage, fully adapting to local Jamaican power standards and household electricity habits. It is built with an integrated MPPT solar charge controller with a maximum charging current of 120A, ensuring efficient photovoltaic energy absorption and conversion. Equipped with a real-time LCD display and standard RS485 communication interface, the inverter supports real-time parameter viewing and stable data transmission, facilitating system debugging and daily operation monitoring.


4.2 LiFePO4 Battery Module

The system adopts stacked lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules, featuring high safety, stable performance and long service life. The battery operates at a 0.5C charge-discharge rate, matching daily household energy storage and power supply demands perfectly. Its cycle life reaches more than 3000 times, ensuring long-term stable operation and low maintenance costs for the system.


4.3 Intelligent Monitoring Terminal

Built-in WiFi module enables wireless network connection. Users can remotely view real-time operating data of the inverter and battery, including power generation, power consumption, remaining capacity and equipment status via mobile APP. The terminal also supports intelligent fault alarm, which can timely feed back abnormal equipment information to users, realizing unattended and intelligent operation management.


5. Installation & Protection Specification

The system adopts floor-standing installation, which is simple and convenient for construction, later maintenance and equipment replacement. The overall protection grade reaches above IP20, which can effectively resist daily dust and accidental contact, meeting the safety protection requirements of indoor household scenarios and ensuring safe and reliable long-term operation of the equipment.
